As part of its mission to support the adoption of smart farming technologies across Europe, TECHCOACH promotes collaborative innovation approaches that place farmers, advisors, researchers, and other AKIS actors at the centre of the innovation process.
In this publication, Gilbert X. Ludwig (Jamk University of Applied Sciences) explores how co-innovation and multi-stakeholder advisory services can help overcome the barriers that often limit the uptake of digital and smart farming solutions. Drawing on the experience of the first TECHCOACH Innovation Bootcamp in Finland, the article presents practical examples, key lessons learned, and innovative solution concepts that demonstrate the value of participatory approaches in accelerating agricultural innovation and strengthening advisory systems.
