Enhancing Farmers’ Capacities | Facilitating Collaborative Innovation

Farmers face increasing pressure to enhance sustainability, productivity, and resilience. Smart Crop Farming technologies provide significant environmental and economic benefits. However, despite their potential, adoption across Europe remains surprisingly low.

TechCoach addresses this challenge by creating a comprehensive multi-actor advisory system, leveraging Operational Groups (OGs), AKIS actors, thematic networks, and existing European initiatives. Through practical training, knowledge exchange, and targeted support, TechCoach empowers advisors and farmers to implement SCF solutions tailored to their unique local contexts.

How We Support Smart Farming Adoption

Facilitating knowledge exchange between farmers, advisors, researchers, technology providers, and policy-makers at national and EU levels.
Connecting and strengthening networks through events like innovation bootcamps and cross-visits.

Organising interactive Innovation Bootcamps in each participating country, fostering creativity, problem-solving, and the practical application of Smart Crop Farming technologies, thus providing hands-on experience in addressing complex agricultural challenges.
Facilitating Cross-Visits across different EU countries, enabling farmers, advisors, researchers, technology providers, and policy-makers to directly observe best practices in action, exchange knowledge, and build robust professional networks for sustainable collaboration at national and EU levels.

Providing tailored training programs to empower farmers, advisors, Operational Groups, and AKIS actors in facilitating the adoption of Smart Crop Farming technologies. These sessions enhance multi-actor collaboration skills, innovation facilitation, and effective technology transfer.
Developing local facilitator capacity by training advisors and stakeholders to become innovation leaders who actively engage in knowledge exchange, provide guidance on Smart Farming tools, and ensure the project’s lasting impact through ongoing peer-to-peer learning.
